Owners of properties seven stories and higher must have exterior walls and appurtenances (balconies, etc.) examined every 5 years, during their respective sub-cycle. These examinations are performed by a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) hired by the building.
Filing times are determined by the final digit of the building’s block. For example, a property on Block 18 would file during sub-cycle 8B.
